How to Edit a PDF on Android (Free, No Adobe)
By DocFila Team · April 27, 2026 · 5 min read
Android doesn't ship with a PDF editor, and many editors in the Play Store only let you draw on a PDF. DocFila for Android lets you change text, add images, and manage pages, free.
Install DocFila for Android
Get DocFila free from the Google Play Store. The app runs on Android 7.0 and later. The on-device PDF tools work offline; cloud features need a connection.
Edit text directly
- Open the PDF in DocFila → tap Edit → Text.
- Tap any paragraph. The toolbar lets you change wording, font family, size, colour, and alignment.
- Tap Save. The edit is embedded into the PDF — no overlay layer.
Replace, add, or remove images
Use the PDF tools to add an image from your gallery or camera to a page, resize it with two fingers and drag it into place.
Manage pages
The Pages tab shows thumbnails of every page. Long-press to reorder, swipe to delete, tap the rotate icon for landscape/portrait fixes. Tap Add Page to insert a blank page or import another PDF.
Annotate, sign, and form-fill
Use Annotate for highlights and freehand notes, Sign for e-signatures, and Form to fill interactive PDF forms. Combine with compression before sharing large edited PDFs.
