Loan Agreement

A loan is easier to manage, and to enforce, when it is in writing. This page lists what a loan agreement usually covers: fixed or amortizing repayment schedules, interest, default events and optional collateral. DocFila does not provide a loan agreement template: have one drafted for your jurisdiction, then open the PDF in DocFila to edit it, send it for signature and store it.

Frequently asked questions

Does an e-signature make this agreement legally binding?

DocFila e-signatures are electronic signatures under the US ESIGN Act and UETA, and simple electronic signatures (SES) under the EU eIDAS Regulation — not advanced (AES) or qualified (QES) electronic signatures. Signing records your consent, an emailed one-time verification code, a hash-chained audit trail, and a tamper-evident seal on the signed PDF. Some documents usually should not be signed electronically — wills, certain court filings, and documents that require notarization or a qualified signature. This is general information, not legal advice: local law and your document type decide what your agreement needs.

Can I edit the agreement?

DocFila does not ship this agreement as a template. Open your own PDF in DocFila and use the PDF editor to change text and add fields, then send it for signature.

Do I need a lawyer to use this?

DocFila does not provide legal advice, and its contract builders have not been reviewed for your jurisdiction or situation. For high-value, cross-border, or regulated transactions, have a lawyer review the final draft.

How much does it cost?

E-signing is included in the DocFila Free plan. Paid plans start at $9.99 a month (Premium) and add AI credits and storage.
