📐 DocFila Measure

Measure an object from a photo or from the live camera view. Mark a reference object of known size — a credit card, an A4 or US Letter sheet, or a US quarter — then mark the two points of the thing you want to measure.

How it works

📷 Camera Measure

Point the phone camera, calibrate against the reference object by tapping its two ends, then tap the two ends of the object you want to measure. Until you calibrate, no length is shown. Camera Measure runs on phones.

🖼️ Photo Measure

Open a photo that contains a reference object, mark the reference, then mark the object. The scale comes from the reference, so the object must lie in the same plane and at about the same distance.

What to expect

Accuracy depends on you

A measurement is only as good as the reference you mark, the angle of the camera and how flat the object lies. DocFila does not state an accuracy, and a rotated phone ends the calibration. For anything where an error is costly, use a tape measure.

What it does not do

Measure does not use augmented reality or LiDAR, and it does not make floor plans, room dimensions, areas, volumes or CAD files. It measures the straight distance between points you mark.
