How to Rotate a PDF Permanently — Free

By DocFila Team · April 28, 2026 · 3 min read

Most PDF readers let you rotate the view temporarily, but the next person opens it sideways again. To rotate permanently — so the rotation is saved into the file — you need an editor. DocFila does it free.

Rotate one page

Open the PDF in DocFila and go to Pages. Tap the page thumbnail and use the rotate icon (90° each tap). Tap Save. The rotation is embedded in the file.

Rotate every page at once

From the Pages view, tap Select All → Rotate 90°. Useful when an entire scanned document came out upside-down.

Fixing a whole scan

DocFila does not detect a page's orientation for you, so check each page after a scan. If a whole scanned document came out sideways, rotate every page the same way in one pass.
